Rimini, 4th June 2009 - NotOnlyHotels confirms its vocation for being ahead of the times, thus responding to the requirements of the trade's professionals, often disorientated when faced with a scenario dominated by rapid transformations, such as the current one. So now the traditional expo SIA GUEST [International Hospitality Exhibition, from Saturday 21st to Tuesday 24th November 2009 at Rimini Fiera with the sponsorship of Federalberghi, the AIPI (Italian Association of Interior Designers) and the ADI (Italian Association for Industrial Design)], conceived with the cooperation of the prestigious magazine SUITE published by BE-MA, is evolving, highlighting aspects often kept in the background in favour of pure image and attractive looks. For example, the technological validity of materials, quality:price ratio, energy/sustainability, durability, etc. So a concept that goes "inside the design" and analyzes factors that go unnoticed during a superficial observation, to matter how pleasant it is.
The utmost attention to projects that have been realized or are in the process of being realized. From the expo proposal an increasingly professional insight of designs will emerge, able to open up new work approaches for the exhibitors themselves, who alongside the event will find events with in-depth coverage planned ad hoc to outline the design trends of hospitality venues of the future. The project's guidelines, once again entrusted to architect Giuseppe Biondo, follow up on the direction taken last year with "The Excellent Places". In fact, after a series of editions with real installations, at the previous edition of SIA GUEST a new expo experience was launched, which replaced material space with images, installations with narrations and tangible aspects with evocation, defining the boundaries of a new way of communicating design work and its numerous contexts.
The exhibition's project manager Nicola De Pizzo stresses, "There is thus a completely renewed formula with a totally unique concept: a global communication project which, in an authentic exploration route through contemporaneity, under the banner of multimedia spaces and video installations, merges settings with high-tech content, moving images, objects by designers and video-interviews with international designers, highlighting the "excellence" of current design dimensions and outlining new ideas and future visions."
