BISTO and oven chips! Top people’s chef Heston Blumenthal was not happy when he returned to the Little Chef restaurant near Basingstoke that he famously revamped last year.
The Michelin-starred pioneer of snail porridge went back to the A303 Popham branch of the troubled chain for the Channel 4 television programme Did Heston Change Little Chef?

Lucky us. Guess who's back tonight, swearing away on prime-time Channel 4 and generally being his usual shy and retiring self? Ramsay, of course. Oh Gordon, how we've missed you.
Except actually, we haven't. The return of the F-Word (9pm) is less a cause for celebration, than an opportunity to ponder when the tide turned against Ramsay's special breed of shoutiness. |

Restaurants serving cocktails named things like “Manhattan Meets Milton Center’’ and “Baker’s Chocolate.’’ Restaurants with steak frites and raw bar, where aioli is spattered as freely as pellets at a drunken paint ball tourney. |
